It will be held Thursday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. in the Sar- gent Conference Room.

The discussion leader will be Katie Murtha from Lincoln City Libraries. This book details the story of members of the Osage Nation in Oklahoma who had become wealthy due to the discovery of oil on their land. Mysteriously, they began to be killed one by one. Then, the people investigating these murders also were killed. The case was turned over to the fledgling FBI.

J. Edgar Hoover brought in a former Texas Ranger who created an undercover team including a Native American agent. They were able to expose the conspiracy behind these crimes. Copies of the book are available for loan at the library. This is the last book discussion scheduled in 2018.
