He was born Aug. 1920, at Hanover, and farmed near Hanover for 50 years, He served as a sergeant in the 18th Fighter Group of the Army Air Corps during World War IF He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church at Hanover, the Knights of Columbus, and the American Legion.

He was married to Kathleen Singleton on Dec. 29, 1 94 1, at Hanover. Survivors: wife, Kathleen; sons, Steve Reedy of Wilmington. C. Francis Reedy of Jefferson, daughters, Peggy King of Wunn, Linda Sedlacek of Knoxville, Patti Wilson of Waterville, Barbara Hamblen of Bedford.

Fairbury, died Wednesday, April 22, 1998, at the Blue Valley Nursing Home in Hebron.

She was born Sept. 15, 1913, at Wilcox. 6, 1906, on a farm near Adams and attended the Olncy School near Adams. She married Henry Wallman on Nov. 25, 1937, at Zion Lutheran Church, rural Pickrcll. She lived in the rural Pickrcll and Beatrice areas most of her life until moving to Beatrice in 1972. She was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church, rural Pickrcll.

She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting and gardening. Mabel R. Maranville Mabel R. Maranville. 78, 1906 Monroe Beatrice, died at her home on Friday afternoon. April 24, 1998.

She was born on Jan. 30, 1920, at Red Cloud and received her early education at Red Cloud. She was married to Francis Huston in 1936. They lived in Beatrice all of their married life and owned and operated the Huston Market for many years. He died in 1986.

On Sept. 5, 1987, she married Jim Maranville at Beatrice, They enjoyed traveling and spent several winters in Texas, where she sang in the church choir. She was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Beatrice and the Circle 11 of the church. She enjoyed visiting residents of the local nursing homes and also enjoyed bowling, golf and raising flowers. Survivors; husband, Jim; son, Nick Huston and wife Vicki of Beatrice; granddaughters, Kristian Mocllcr and husband Jerry of Plymouth, Kylie Huston of Beatrice; great-grandchildren, Conner and Boddie Moeller; stepdaughter, Judy Reece and husband Bud of Valentine; stepgrandchildrcn, Janet Thomson and husband Lonnic of St.

Paul, Kevin Recce and wife Jenny of Valentine; stepgreat-grandchildrcn, Andrew, Blake and Cal.ee Thomson and Jordan and Kaitlin Recce; two sisters. Survivors: husband, Hubert; daughter, Jacquclyn Ann Garrett and husband Tom R. of Rochester, grandchildren, Michael Lee Garrett and Christine Ann Kern, both of Rochester, great-grandchildren, Chclsa Marie and Christopher William Kern, both of Rochester, Minn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Marie (Jimcrson) Mutchmore; and four sisters. Graveside service and burial of cremains: 10:30 a.m.
