The best man was Grant F. Randall. The two bead usher were Robert Armstrong, Auburn, and Phil Kteppinger of Beatrice. Other ushers were, Richard Moseai of Dr. H.

O. Jackson. Richard Roezell and Robert Kor of Beatrice. They wore dark suit with white boutonnieres. The groom wore a suit of Oxford gray and a white rosebud from his bride' bouquet as hi boutonniere.

Kilpatrick, was married to James Freeman of Oakland, Wednesday evening, June 9, at 8:30, at the Kilpatrick home on North Seventh street Clusters of white peonies and pale roses with cybotium ferns decorated the house and seven-branch candelabra with burning white tapers were on either side of the fire place, forming a background for the temporary altar erected In the drawing room and In front of which the ceremony waa performed by the Reverend W. A. Mulligan before one hundred guests, Mrs. Harry Ahlqulst played the wedding music from Lohengrin. The bride who was given in marriage by her father, C.

L. Sherwood, wore a white lace princess gown. Her shoulder length tulle veil was attached to a coronet and trimmed with a narrow bandeau of orange waa flower girl. Her frock was of green starched lace, bound In satin ribbon, of floor length and fashioned In "princess" style. Raymond Calkins, brother of the bride, and Madison Randall were the candle lighters.

The reception was held In the church parlors Immediately following the ceremony, with approximately 300 guests attending. The two serving tables were centered with bowls of yellow and white flowers, and on either end of the tables were candles of the same colors. Mrs. Raymond Johnson and Mrs. Fred Lentz presided at the tables.

Those assisting with the serving were Misses Dorothy Foutf Phyllis Sonderegger and Mr. James Smith and Mrs. Ted Boomer. A two tier wedding cake, white trimmed with yellow rosea had the place of honor at a separate table. Mrs.

Ralph Roezell. Miss Iola Mae Halcomb; and Mrs. Leslie Jacksn assisted the bride in cutting her lovely cake. After the ceremony the guest were invited Into the reception room by Mrs. Maurice J.

Hanna-ford and Mrs. P. Dodson, Mrs. E. H.

Suhr and Mrs. Arthur Sonderegger were the hostesses in the reception room. Miss Kathryn Roszell and Miss Frances Dann had charge of the guest book. Mesdames Glen Howard, Ralph Benton, Fred Cambridge and For-dyee Graf had charge of the gift room. The bride's going -away suit was of pink sharkskin, with brown or gandy blouse, gold and brown sandals, gold hat trimmed in brown, gold jigger coat brown linen bag and gloves.

Miss Calkins has attended the University of Nebraska. Mr. Halcomb received his degree from the University of Nebraska law college June 7. He is a member of Phi Alpha Delta, professional law fraternity. Following the reception the couple left for Denver and other points west.

Arthur Bryant celebrated her third birthday Monday afternoon. After an hour of games the guests were seated at one large table centered with an attractive birthday cake which wa cut and served with ices. Each child received balloon favors. Mary Ellen Cook, Michael Hepperlen, Susan Beer. Golden Rod Club Golden Rod club met Thursday with Mrs. Henry at the home of Henry Essam east of the city. Plans were made for a picnic to be held June 20 in the Bergmeyer The afternoon was spent in fancy work. There were three guests, Mrs.

Sam Roush, Mrs. Roy Barnard and Mrs. J. W. West.

The next regular meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. John Bergmeyer. To Wed Today Ruth Laura Young, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Price Young of Filley will be married this afternoon at 4 o'clock to Jurgen R.

Alberts, son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Alberts, also of Filley. Rev. Laur ence Berry of Kansas City, will perform the ceremony.

The wedding took place Saturday morning. June 12, at ten o'clock at the First Christian church. Rev. R. B.

Fouts read the marriage lines in the presence of 300 guests. The bride was given in marriage by her father. The altar was banked with fern and mock orange blossoms, with four seven branched candelabra with white tapers at either side of the altar. The pews were tied with white streamers and mock orange. Miss Lila Mae Jackson sang Promise Me" before the ceremony and "Because" after the ceremony.

Miss Maureen Morten was at the console of the organ. She played "Lohengrin's Wedding March," and other beautiful selections.
