Resident of the month- the summer and we would look at the garden that the residents planted and she would tell me of all the things she used to plant in her own garden and all of the canning she did. She loved flowers.

She also has one great- grandson, Sean Michael Boldt who lives in Duncanville." Mrs. Boldt loved, to play the piano. She was pianist at the Panama Presbyterian church for many years and enjoyed playing at social functions at school and church. She was a member of the Panama Presbyterian Church for many years. She came to Lakeview from the Homestead Nursing Home in April of 1980.

When Mrs. Boldt first came, she would play a few of the favorite hymns of the piano for us also. She went to almost all of the activities we provide here and loved to play dominoes. The past year she wasn't able to go to all of the activities any more but came to some of the listening ones. She loved to go outside when the weather was nice.

Mrs. Boldt and I spent a lot of time outside during Hazel Boldt was born Sept. 4. 1895, and grew up in the Douglas, Neb. area.

She graduated from Douglas High School in 1912. Since there were only 11 grades at Douglas, she took the 12th grade at University Place High in 1913. She took normal school training at Wesleyan Academy in 1914 and spent one year teaching at Curtis. and one year at District 27, Lancaster County. It was there that she met Harold Boldt and they were married in 1917.

They moved to a farm where Harold was born and lived there until they moved to Panama-in 1975. To this union one son was born, Donald who now lives in Duncanville, Texas. Harold passed on in 1975. Mrs. Boldt has one daughter-in-law (Jo Ann) and two grandsons, David who lives in Duncanville, and Kevin who lives in Huntington Beach, Calif.

When the weather was nice a couple of weeks ago? we went outside and she commented on how she thought spring was just around the corner. She always seemed happy and had comments for anyone who met her in the hallways. Mrs. Boldt passed away March 23. 1983, before this article got printed but we decided to go ahead and run it in her memory.

She will be missed by all. Our sympathies go out to her family. Submitted by Jan Jurgens Www- opt Sg!
