He also noted that the photolog can be stopped to study a single frame, and that each frame is identified by highway and milepost number. "Although no study of the subject has been conducted," Genrich says, "I know the photolog saves a tremendous amount of gasoline and wear and tear on automobiles." Asked about some of the uses of the equipment, he ticked them off as evaluating safety projects, checking the possible relocation of a road, accident analysis, bridges or railroad crossings and for reviewing before testifying at a trial. He says, "It is a very useful tool, and as more people discover its capabilities we are sure even more uses will be developed." Connor of Interbank, which oversees Master Charge, said that cardholders had $10.6 billion in oustanding balances at the end of 1978; 4 percent of the money was 30 days or more past due.
