Everybody's Business industrial natural gas customers of Minnegasco will see a reduction in their bills of 4.5 cents per thousand cubic feet used as the result of action by the company's major supplier. Minnegasco officials said the action would lower the average residential customer's annual heating bill by about $6.30. The rate reduction announcement by supplier Northern Natural Gas on April 20- followed action by the Canadian government earlier this month to lower by 11 percent the price of natural gas that it exports to U.S. markets. Northern's.

The Lamplighter Shop, formerly at Court has moved a block east to 522 Court St. The new location is in the Paddock Townhouse site formerly occupied by The Wordsmith. Sharon Remmenga, owner of the shop, will continue to repair, rewire, rework and relight old, new and broken lamps.

The Beatrice area was represented at the spring meeting of the Advisory Council meeting of the U.S. Small Business Administration in Omaha. Recent appointee Gordon C. "Bud" Pentz, owner-manager of Mia Enterprises, was in attendance. Pentz is serving on the first of a twoyear term on the council.

The annual stockholders meeting in Lincoln was the site as the Lincoln Telecommunications Co. (LinTelcom) reviewed its 1982 yearend and first quarter 1983 financial statements recently. President Thomas C. Woods reported that in 1982 LinTelcom's principal subsidiary, the Lincoln Telephone and Telegraph generated a 6.4 percent increase in revenue. Unusually low local service revenue was caused, in part, by reduced growth in monthly rental revenue reflecting increased customer ownership of telephone equipment and by the weakened economy which has resulted in fewer housing starts.

Although completed long distance calls increased, Woods said that revenue from long distance was less than anticipated during the last half of the year. Operating expenses and taxes increased 10 percent over 1981 to $95.3 million, with a 19 percent increase in depreciation included. Consolidated earnings, before preferred stock dividend requirements declined 11.3 percent to $13.1 million and earnings from other subsidiaries declined 38.5 percent to $257,000. Consolidated net earnings available for common shares were $12.4 million, compared to $14.1 million in 1981. For the firat quarter of 1983, operating revenues of LTT increased 2.7 percent to $29.6 million.
